Hands in the Fire (La Main Au Feu) 86 Min. (1989) French Art Director: Jean-Daniel Cadinot Starring: Angelo Despaz, Assan Ariana, Daniel Brown, Driss Rachid, Frederic Laroche, Kemal Rais.
Filmed entirely in the outskirts of Cannes, this film features the exploits of a thief who uses his looks and sex appeal to steal. Canadian Daniel Brown, the only North American to appear in one of Cadinot's films, plays the innocent looking thief. (The title plays with two French idioms, "(en) mettre sa main au feu", which you say when you're so sure of something that you'd be willing to place your hand into the fire to vouch for it, and "mettre la main au cul (de quelqu'un)", meaning, to grab someone's ass.)
